Schmalz selects IamIP

IamIP is proud to announce that Schmalz, the market leader in vacuum automation and
ergonomic handling solutions has joined the IamIP community

Stockholm, Sweden, 24 September 2019 - Today IamIP, a leading SaaS Platform provider in the Intellectual Property industry, announces that Schmalz, the market leader in vacuum automation and ergonomic handling solutions, has become a new important client to IamIP.

“We decided to be a part of the journey with IamIP because of the very easy and intuitive way to find and collect relevant patent documents within the IamIP Platform. Further important points were the broad capabilities to collect, save and share comments connected to patents within the organisation. The platform also saves us time and reduces complexity as we do not need to discuss patent cases anymore in never ending confusing email threats. Apart from this, it is critical for founded business decisions to get access to latest legal status and patent information in an automated way by IamIPs monitoring processes.” says Dr. Kurt Schmalz, Managing Director, at Schmalz.

“During the next 12 months we are planning to use the IamIP Platform to create a companycentral place where all relevant patent documents are stored and, in this way, establish transparency. With this dedicated Schmalz patent database, we want to improve the internal knowledge about the state of the art. By having relevant information about patents quickly accessible in a user friendly way we want to as well foster a positive attitude towards patents so that it becomes a joy to read and work with patents,” he continues.

Dimitris Giannoccaro, CEO of IamIP says:“We are working very hard on the improvements of the IamIP Platform where our client’s needs are always in the center. Therefore, we are very happy about a very active growing IamIP Users Community that helps us to develop what the market needs. Furthermore, we are very happy to see a growing customer base in Germany with Schmalz being an important part of it. For Schmalz, the next steps will be to further roll out the IamIP Platform to other functions in the organization and in this way improve efficiency and the collaboration.”

IamIP has digitalized one of the last few paper-based and manually handled industries, the complex intellectual property industry. This industry is plagued by complexity with over 3 M new patents filed every year (growing), and $20Bn+ wasted on double work in R&D in Europe alone. IamIP platform enables technology-based companies to easily access and evaluate patent portfolios, monitor competitors and technology to get valuable strategic insights – in time - for making decisions in innovation.
